14/03

Yesterday i focused on A1 sheets, one which showed my first photo shoot of the disabled woman which is on here, and one based on my camera, the different settings, what they do, which i still need to complete when i go into uni tomorrow. Today i have focused on taking my second series of photographs of the same person, to get a better outcome, as last time i felt that the photos didn't come out as well as i had hoped. I felt that today was a lot more relaxed, as it was just me and the person i was photographing, so it was a lot more relaxed and i was able to talk her through what i was doing and where i needed her to sit etc. I will be putting the photographs on here possibly tonight, or tomorrow.

Just a few different images that i took the other day, i haven't put them all up here because i took nearly 100 photos, but i have selected some good and bad images.

This first image i thought worked quite well. The depth of field was like i wanted it, with the background out of focus and the face in focus. In this photograph i didn't get any shadow behind her which was a problem i had with the last series of photographs i took. She looks quite serious in the image, so if i were to take this again i would get her to show a slight smile on her face.

This photograph is in the same position as the image above, however i have the problem with shadow in this photograph.

This image is dark. When taking these photographs i didn't really think about what she was wearing, because she is wearing dark colours, they blend in with the sofa, so therefore the image is not as effect, because it is not making her stan out as much from the background.

A better image, i did this one further back, and more light came through, but the clothes she is wearing are still blending in with the background.

Although the photograph has enough light coming through, her face is out of focus as well as the background an there is still that issue with shadow.

An image of the wheelchair, however the background is too dark, not making the wheel chair stand out to its best.

A shot i took without realising i had taken it, but it works better than the image above because the wheel chair stands out more.

Enough light coming through, but that issue with the clothes blending in the background. The wheelchair is also not shown as much as it could be from a different angle.

More of the background in this image an less light.

After evaluating some of the images from this photo shoot i have realised that i need to make sure that she is wearing light colours, so that her clothes don't blend in with the background. I have also thought about doing some side shots, with just her hand on the wheel, to show the wheel chair more, or a side shot, with her face looking to the side.
